My two-year-old actually asks to wear this, which never happens with any other layer. The crew neckline sits flat under her coat and the buttons are easy enough for her to manage herself. After three washes it still looks brand new, no pilling at all.

The cashmere on this is unreal, softer than the pricey one I got from a big department store last year. My son wore it over a tee for a birthday party and it didn't pill or stretch at the elbows. The buttons are sewn on tight too, which matters with a toddler.

Bought this for my daughter's fall wardrobe and she refuses to take it off. The button front makes it easy for her to put on herself, and it's held up through several washes without pilling.
