Bought this for my daughter's summer uniform days and the micro-check is subtle enough that it dresses up or down. The black straps give it a nice contrast without looking too grown-up, and it's held up through several washes already.

The Japanese cotton is noticeably softer than the cheaper camis I've bought before, and it hasn't shrunk after three washes. The black straps give it a bit of an edge, so my daughter actually wears it without complaining.
